For Professionals

You're not a résumé in a database.

Whether you're open to a permanent move, available for interim work, or simply want a candid read on the market, we'd like to know you before there's a role on the table.

Two Ways to Work With Us

Permanent roles and interim assignments

Permanent placement

We run retained and contingent searches for CFO, controller, HR, operations and general management roles in middle-market, family-owned and private-equity-backed companies. Most are not posted publicly.

If you're in one of those disciplines, a conversation now means you hear about the right opening when it happens — not three weeks after it closes.

Interim, contract and project work

Interim controller and CFO assignments, close and audit support, systems implementations, HR project work, and operations and plant support — typically three to nine months.

Good fit if you're consulting by choice, between roles, or want to see a company from the inside before committing to it. Assignments can often start within days.

What to Expect

How the process actually runs

A real conversation first

What you're good at, what you want next, what you're not willing to trade for it, and what compensation actually needs to look like. Twenty-five minutes, no obligation.

Nothing moves without your permission

We don't submit your information to a client until you've agreed to that specific opportunity. We don't contact references until you tell us it's time.

The full picture on the role

Why the seat is open, what happened to the last person in it, who you'd report to, what the first year demands, and where the hard parts are. If a role has problems, you hear about them from us before the interview.

A straight answer either way

If you're not a fit, we tell you and we tell you why. If we can't help, we say so rather than keeping you warm.

Support through the offer

Compensation context, counteroffer scenarios, resignation logistics, and start-date negotiation. Then we check in at 30, 60 and 90 days.

Introduce Yourself

Start with a conversation.

Tell us what you do and what you're looking for. We read everything that comes in, and we respond.

Questions

Fair questions to ask a recruiter

Does Stature charge candidates a fee?

No. Stature is paid by the hiring company. Candidates are never charged a fee at any point in the process, for permanent or interim work.

Will my current employer find out I'm talking to you?

Not from us. Your information is not submitted to a client without your explicit permission for that specific opportunity, and we don't contact references until you tell us it's time.

What if I'm not looking right now?

That's often the best time to talk. A twenty-minute conversation while you're comfortable is worth far more than a rushed one after a surprise. We'll keep it low-key and reach out only when something genuinely fits.

How does pay work on an interim or contract assignment?

You are paid by Stature — hourly or on a weekly rate agreed before you start — and we handle payroll, employment taxes and workers' compensation coverage as employer of record. Rates and any benefit eligibility are confirmed in writing before day one.

How long do you keep my résumé?

Up to three years from your last contact with us, so we can reach you about relevant future roles. You can ask us to review, correct or delete it at any time — see the section below.

Equal Employment Opportunity

Our commitment

Stature is an equal opportunity employer and an equal opportunity staffing and search firm. We recruit, present, employ and place candidates without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, height, weight, veteran or military status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.

This commitment applies to every part of our work: how we source and assess candidates, the slates we present to clients, the terms of employment for contract employees on our payroll, and our own hiring. We do not accept client instructions that would require us to screen candidates on a protected characteristic, and we will end an engagement rather than do so.

Reasonable accommodations are available at any stage of our process for candidates with disabilities. To request one, or to raise a concern about how you were treated in one of our processes, email hello@staturetalent.com.
